Solomon Lapidus
Sol Lapidus, a partisan from Minsk, escaped a POW camp and joined the Chokulov brigade as a demolitions expert -- only a few months after turning 18 and being drafted into the Red Army. During one of his sabotage missions, he met Tuvia Bielski, whose camp was in the area, and they became lifelong friends, performing many joint operations together.
