About JPEF

Most people have never heard of the 20,000-30,000 Jews who fought back against the Nazis as Jewish partisans. These Jews were responsible for blowing up thousands of armored convoys and thwarting the Nazi war machine in countless ways, including rescuing people from the ghettos, procuring food and medicine, tending to wounded soldiers, sabotaging German communications and supply lines, punishing collaborators, sheltering civilians and saving thousands of Jewish lives.

Projects

The Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation (JPEF) inspires and educates young people around the world through the history and life lessons of the Jewish partisans. Hundreds of thousands of educators, institutions, and private citizens worldwide use JPEF materials, reaching over a million students since 2000. Read on for information about JPEF's programs and materials.

Donors

The Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation gratefully acknowledges these donors whose 2023 gifts bring the legacy of the Jewish partisans to young people everywhere — empowering them to speak out early, and to stand up against antisemitism and hate..

Zene Peet Success Story

I’ve taken all of the E-Learning courses offered by JPEF. I was intrigued by the subject and felt that I needed more information before I decided to teach this subject. I was very pleased with the content, format and the ease maneuvering and using the website. I wish there were more courses to take!  The resources provided are amazing.  Although Wisconsin does not have common-core standards for history/social studies to date, JPEF lesson plans are in align with National Council for the Social Studies standards.

Tactics of Resistance Success Story

The material in JPEF's Tactics of Resistance is both powerful and easy to understand, exploring the nuances between oppression and resistance. JPEF made it easy for me to teach other educators how to engage their students in this very relevant lesson. I will continue to bring these excellent online courses to my colleagues.
