Transcript: That song -- very, very emotional for all of us. That was written in the Vilna ghetto. Vilna, I don't know if you know, Vilna is the -- today it's called Vilnius -- the capital of Lithuania. And that was the biggest -- next to Warsaw, I think -- the biggest Jewish population there. They killed so many Jews there: I think 80,000 or whatever it was; I don't remember the right number. And a lot of them escaped to the partisans. And somebody wrote this song and that became it means in the song begins: [YIDDISH].
Don't say that you're walking the last mile, more or less -- the party, you know, that it keeps going on there. And we all -- after the war, especially after, during the partisans and after the war -- it became a song, you know, that is very I mean, I don't know how to say that it's, it reminds us where, who we are and we sing among ourselves that song. And it came true that, because that song was very trying to tell us, more or less, that you're not walking the last mile.
In plain, to make it short, the song is that you're not walking the last mile and don't ever say that you're walking the last mile. Things will change and things will get better and, and all those things. It's a wonderful, wonderful song. And it's special and I think about it.
