Transcript: I can tell you the first night when we came into the woods, first of all, we were elated that we succeeded, we succeeded with the break out. They were so brutal. They were so sadistic. They used to beat the prisoners so terrible that I can't begin to tell you. So there was a sense of elation. On the other hand, there was a sense of fear. Where do we go? Where we go? Where do we go? Where do we sleep? Where do we go for our loaf of bread? What do we do? We don't know. We may walk and with may walk in into a village and be surrounded, you know, by the villagers and turned over to the Gestapo. So, ah, let me not tell you that we were, you know, great heroes. We were very nervous and very scared.
