Transcript: The Germans are close, and I don't know the way, how to go. He left us. There was no other way, so Abba gave the mission to three scouts, I was one of them and this swamp is hard to describe. The foot went in up to the knees and further, it was impossible to walk. In the end we lost our shoes, walked barefoot, and moved around a whole day over a distance of 100 meters, without possibility to reach. In other words, the forest was opposite us, 100 meters separated us from the forest. And we were lost, hungry, tired and scared, because the Germans were very close. And we moved around like that in the swamp during an entire day. And by coincidence we found the plank I told you about, that little footbridge. And after we found the plank we thought, that perhaps we had found the way. We walked across the plank and arrived in the forest. And that was amazing. Because before, when we were crossed over, we walked on a kind of path into the forest suddenly we hear voices asking in Russian, who are you? And as we look we see, that these were our comrades and the joy was very great. We kissed, and we were very happy, because we had met our partisans We had thought that they were not alive; they had thought that we were not alive.
