Transcript: And we have to go through swamps. Not big swamps. It's normal, like we were used to. And it's only a person by person can go. Two people cannot go together. And all of a sudden, I lift up my head and I see we are surrounded all around with Germans. And they start to shoot. It was like a hurricane of bullets. And me and Paul were the last ones, and everybody was already through. Paul got frozen. He couldn't move. He was this time maybe 35, 38, but he was already an army man with experience. I was just a little kid with no brains. And I was screaming to him, "Let's run." He said, "No, you cannot run. That's all what they want you. If you run forwards, they will shoot you. They are waiting for you. You cannot run forwards." I didn't understand what he's saying, and I just got him with one hand, one arm on me, and I dragged him, and we run through. And how we made it, I don't know till now. And I got him through, and me too. And then he came to himself, but in the second, he was frozen dead. He was so scared. Because he understood more than I in this, what kind of danger we had.
