Martin Petrasek - Antisemitism in the partisans
Transcript: Nobody knew that I am Jewish. I, I met there three people actually, they were Jewish, that I knew. One was this guy Schwartz, which unfortunately what happened, because they're antisemitic, some of those partisans, they, they convince him, they, actually they told to the commander that he didn't feel up the command what they give him and they execute him. And there was another guy, which one, one time we raid, Gestapo, we raid a German headquarter, and he was hiding there, in the cellar of the [inaudible] somebody of a peasant who hide him, and they took him as a prisoner from there, and he was saying, I'm Jewish, I'm Jewish, they believed he was working as a Gestapo, and they execute him. That was second one, and third one was a girl by name Marta, she was Hungarian from Budapest, and the Russian, the Hungarian army was fighting together with the Russian. They captured her somewhere also when they were out, and they brought him, they brought her, to our camp, and I believe that the captain, but even so he couldn't talk to her, he had some love affair with her, they took her, and before we left, suddenly she disappeared. Now, I didn't see it, with my eye, but they told me that she was executed.
