Transcript: This Slovakian rebellion, although it lasted for only two months, it inflicted tremendous damage to the Germans. The same army that fought with them, as I stated, from Leningrad to Kavkaz, suddenly turned their weapons against them. The greatest achievement accomplished by the army was that it cut off the lines of retreat from the Germans. Slovakia is a mountainous country, reaching 2660 meters in height of mountains and they have two train lines that run from east to west, and three or four highways that run from east to west on which the Germans ran trains day and night in order to, as I stated before, save what they could, by train and by truck. And here comes the Slovakian national rebellion and cut them off from these lines of retreat. This was the greatest accomplishment.
