Transcript: I says, I'll give you this coat if you give me some food. So, we exchanged -- he gave me some onion, a raw onion, some cheese, that he stole from the commanding officer, and some bread. So I put those stuff into my rucksack, I had shorts, I had three shorts, I put it on. I took off so fast, I never knew that a human being can fly so fast down that mountain, into the river, and I had a chapeau, a hat, and I threw it across to waylay their dogs. I hear the guns, bloo-bloo-bloo-bloo, shooting at you. I was lucky, I started to walk back towards the camp. It took me from noontime to about six o'clock to walk on the edge of the water, but in the water, so the dogs won't smell me, until we, I hit the camp on, on the bridge. By then it got dark. And I heard, I always heard the SS walking back and forth on the bridge, and airplane overhead -- a Jew never has run away, you know. There is 40,000 people in this camp, and nobody ever escaped, they couldn't.
